While pervasive conveniences are taken for granted or even being considered necessary, how far should convenience goes? Are we considering/suggesting technology as part of human revolution?

As one of our closest "friend", instead of providing simple, rigid form of communication, can the mobile-phone provide something useful to help improving/refining our way to communicate with others?
by giving the cell-phone more human feature/response functions, can it comfort/ease the intense form of human-to-human interaction?
